About this Event
Aside from his professorial duties at the University of Sussex, Nicholas Royle is the author of several novels, including Quilt (2010), An English Guide to Birdwatching (2017), the memoir Mother (2020), and the one-of-a-kind David Bowie, Enid Blyton and the Sun Machine (2023). In this session Nicholas will be talking about and reading from his latest work, a M**der mystery novel called A Hat for Hattie. Have you ever wondered how to write a M**der mystery? Here are some clues....
Nicholas will be in conversation with Hope Wolf, in a reprise of their last Crypt event together. Hope has a major book coming out in April called Sussex Modernism (pub. by Yale UP) and is also curating the exhibition on this topic coming up later this year at the Towner Gallery.
