Lucas has been sharing his love of tango in the UK for more than ten years through Tango in the Peaks, promoting its music, dance and identity in milongas, classes and cultural events. Originally from Buenos Aires, he grew up with tango at home, listening to his mother and grandfather sing tangos and milongas. He later went on to complete a PhD exploring tango lyrics, adding another layer to his lifelong connection with the music.
As a dancer and teacher, Lucas places a strong focus on musicality, helping students feel how the music shapes the dance. He also enjoys playing piano, especially tango pieces, and has recently begun learning the bandoneon, further immersing himself in the sound world of tango.
When DJing, Lucas draws mainly on the golden age of tango, offering an energetic, dynamic and danceable atmosphere that invites everyone onto the floor.
