Shepshed Dynamo are proud to announce a testimonial match in honour of Niall Prenderville, celebrating an incredible 10 years of service to the club.Niall joined Dynamo in 2015 and has since demonstrated a level of dedication and commitment that is rarely seen in football. Year after year, he has given everything for the badge, embodying the spirit, passion and pride of our club both on and off the pitch.
His loyalty and consistency were etched into club history in April 2023 when he surpassed Lee McGlinchey’s long-standing appearance record of 255 games to become Shepshed Dynamo’s all-time leading appearance holder. Niall has now amassed over 340 appearances in black and white, a phenomenal achievement and a testament to his durability, professionalism and love for the club.
Supporting Rosie’s Journey
We are also incredibly proud to combine this special occasion with an opportunity to support Niall’s family as they raise funds for his daughter, Rosie.
Rosie is a fiercely independent, courageous and truly inspiring four-year-old who has already faced more challenges than most do in a lifetime. Years of scans, blood tests and medical appointments have shaped her early life, yet she continues to meet every hurdle with the biggest smile and a personality that lights up every room.
Rosie has been diagnosed with Global Developmental Delay, affecting her muscle control and movement, particularly in her legs. Everyday activities many of us take for granted — standing, walking and balancing — are significant challenges for Rosie.
Despite this, she is making remarkable progress. She is beginning to walk short distances independently and continues to grow stronger through ongoing physiotherapy and incredible support at home and school.
In 2025, the family began exploring Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy (SDR) — a life-changing surgery that could reduce tightness in Rosie’s lower limbs, improve her mobility, strengthen her muscles and give her the best possible chance of long-term independence. Rosie has been accepted as a strong candidate, with surgery provisionally scheduled for May/June 2026.
While medical specialists agree that SDR would be hugely beneficial, Rosie sadly does not meet the NHS’s strict funding criteria. Determined to give her every opportunity, the family have begun fundraising to cover the cost of surgery and essential private physiotherapy to maximise her recovery.
If you wish to donate prior to Niall’s testimonial, it would be much appreciated!

We will also have plenty of fundraising opportunities to take part in on the day.
The Testimonial Match
To mark the occasion, a special fixture will take place between the current Dynamo squad and a Select squad of past players, managed by former boss Damion Beckford-Quailey.
The game will take place on Sunday 3rd May 2026.
This promises to be a fantastic afternoon celebrating Niall’s outstanding contribution to the club, reconnecting familiar faces, and fundraising for a truly worthy cause.
Further details will follow in due course, and we hope to see as many of you there as possible to honour a club legend and support an incredibly special young girl on her journey.
Let’s come together and make it a day to remember!
