Meg, Jo, Beth, and Amy navigate the perils of growing up in Civil War-era New England, raised by mother “Marmee” while their father is off serving as a Union chaplain. Encompassing love, loss, joy, ambition, and the enduring bond of family, this story is deservedly beloved.
