About this Event
NextGen Detroit is an 800+ member statewide network of Gen-Z and Millennial leaders ages 16–35 who are shaping the future of civic engagement, community organizing, and talent retention across Michigan. Powered by the Steen Foundation, NextGen Detroit builds a strong pipeline of emerging leaders through civic education, workforce pathways, arts and culture, philanthropy, and policy innovation.
This year’s annual gathering will bring together young leaders, creatives, organizers, and civic innovators to reflect on 2025, elevate youth-led solutions, and build momentum going into 2026. As Detroit continues to see major shifts in workforce and civic participation, spaces like this are crucial for belonging, cross-collaboration, and activating the next generation of problem solvers.
This gathering strengthens Detroit’s civic ecosystem by creating a space where young people can show up, build community, exchange ideas, and chart the future together. It’s more than a meeting, it’s a movement of next-generation leaders choosing to build, stay, and lead in Detroit.
