About this Event
Bank Speakers is a Toastmasters group (since November 2007). The Club was formed from the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants but is an open club and welcomes new members.
Our Goal
The aim of club is to help its members improve their public speaking, communication and leadership skills. Learn, through presenting and evaluating fellow club members, how to
- write and deliver a prepared speech
- listen more effectively
- give feedback to others in a more helpful way
- introduce other speakers
- organise, chair and run meetings and events
How do we help?
We do this by providing a mutually supportive and positive learning environment. It is not a formal course in public speaking with instructors. Work is not graded nor tests administered. We give you the opportunity to attend local club meetings, training seminars and speech contests.
Come Along!
Our Club thrives on guests so feel welcome to come along to a meeting as a guest. We won't make you speak if you don't want to, but we fully encourage guests to participate so you can get feedback and be on your way to becoming a better speaker. If you have any questions, please contact our VP of Membership at: [email protected].
Where and When?
When: Thursdays at 7.15am for a 7:30am start (meeting finishes before 9am) on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month.
Due the pandemic we will be meeting online for the foreseeable future. Otherwise we usually meet at the Gresham Centre, Gresham St, London EC2V 7BX. We hope to return to face to face, physical meetings soon as feasible.
