About this Event
Welcome to "Newish to sewing a cuffed pillowcase"!
Join us at All Things New Sewing & Service for a fun and interactive event where you'll learn the basics of sewing a pillowcase from scratch. Whether you're a complete beginner or just getting back into sewing, this event is perfect for you! Charity and Molly will guide you through each step, from selecting the fabric to finishing touches. Don't worry if you've never touched a sewing machine before - we'll make sure you leave with a beautiful pillowcase to show off to your friends and family. Come join us and unleash your creativity!
This class works on a variety of skills including the "burrito method", French seams, choosing fabrics and turning corners. It's a great class for someone super new or to learn a couple tricks that you can swing into a ton of other projects.
Please bring one yard for the main fabric, 1/3 yard for your cuff and 1/4 yard fabric for the trim or a yard and a half of ribbon or trim pieces. (No glitter or sequins for this project. That'll slow you down a bit)
Fabric is available onsite from Sew Snips Fabric Comany if you'd like to choose some. Come a little early and we'll help you with some color theory to choose coordinates.
You don't have to have a machine to take any of our beginner workshops. We have machines to lend.
This class builds on skills you learn in our New To Sewing workshops.
