Bio-Erika Small-Sisco
As an entrepreneur from a young age, the mission resonated with me. I dreamed of owning my own business one day, and grew up reading business publications like Entrepreneurship Magazine, Black Enterprise, Money Magazine and was introduced to small business ownership to chart one’s own course. As a graduate assistant it was inevitable, I worked for my college Small Business Assistance Center. I had a passion for helping small business owners, which ultimately led to becoming a business owner. I often share first-hand knowledge of the challenges and obstacles that one must overcome to make a business successful.
In 2022 Small-Sisco led the ODU Women’s Business Center team to regional recognition as, Women’s Business Enterprise Council - Greater DMV, Women’s Business Advocate of the Year.
“It is an honor and privilege to work in support of Women’s entrepreneurship. Every day is an opportunity to help empower the next generation of small business owners, drawing from my experiences as an entrepreneur, and years of work in the corporate, federal government, public and private business sectors.”
