About this Event
This linear walk starts just before dusk and, as darkness falls, will explore the sites of strange experiences and uncanny legends, relating them to the history of the locale and theories of and beliefs in the paranormal.
We will take in two Greens - the old Newington Green and the new Butterfield Green - connected by an ancient trackway which once cut across the fields between Newington Green and Stoke Newington.
Meet in front of Lizzy’s on the Green Café (by the central entrance on the west side of Newington Green). The walk ends at The Shakespeare Pub on Allen Road (see pics below).
This walk lasts approx. 2 hours (give or take). It is a companion to the Stokey Ghost Walk which takes place around Stoke Newington Church Street (please note the earlier start time for this walk).
I walk in (almost) all weathers, so please come prepared! The terrain is mostly flat, with a few uneven and dark surfaces, some steps and a few roads to cross. I take a max.15 people on each walk. Recommended age: 15+.
