Local Offer Live – Preparation for Adulthood
For children and young people with SEND and their families we will be running our next Local Offer Live Event being held at Newham College (East Ham Campus).

Getting there
Parking will be extremely limited around the venue and there are no designated spaces available so we would encourage everyone who can to use public transport. There is a bus stop right outside the college, accessed with nearby bus routes 5, 15, 58, 101, 104, 147, 238, 300, 325. The nearest station is East Ham (served by the District and Hammersmith and City Line).
About this event
We can’t wait to welcome you to our third Local Offer Live event on Wednesday 9th October in partnership with Newham Parents Forum and Newham College.
This event is primarily for children and young people with SEND and their families for them to find out more about the services, activities and pathways available across Newham for young people aged 14+. However we also welcome younger children and professionals who would like to find out more about what is available in the borough. We ask that all young people under 16 are accompanied by a responsible adult.
On the day you can expect to see stalls from colleges, employers, health services as well as Newham Parents forum. Newham College will be running tours of their brand new ‘Independent Living Flat’ developed in partnership with John Lewis. We will be launching the ‘Good SEND Guide’ which is our young people’s guide to Newham as well as getting feedback to help shape our draft ‘Preparation for Adulthood’ Guide. We will also have food and refreshments on the day as well as a raffle at the end of the event. (Please do let us know by registering if you have any dietary or accessibility needs.)
