Newcomer Expat Support

Relocating to a new country is both exciting and overwhelming. Between immigration paperwork, housing searches, business setup, and adapting to a new culture, it’s easy to feel uncertain or alone. This monthly meetup offers a welcoming space for expats and newcomers to gather, connect, and find support as they build a new life abroad.

Each session begins with open conversation, where participants can share where they are in the immigration process, what they’re working on, and how they’re doing with the emotional transition. Together, we celebrate progress, share challenges, and offer one another encouragement and practical help.

The second half of our time centers on a focused discussion around a monthly topic—such as visas and residency, business and freelance setup, language learning, work opportunities, or emotional wellness. The topics shift to meet the needs and interests of the group.

All of this unfolds in a relaxed, social setting—over food and conversation at a classic restaurant in Brașov’s Council Square. The goal is to create connection as much as clarity, helping each person find both resources and friendship along the way.

There is no attendance fee—we simply ask that each participant purchase something on the menu to thank our host restaurant for providing the space.

Whether you’re new to Romania or already settled, you’ll leave each gathering with new insights, a stronger network, and the comforting reminder that you’re not navigating this journey alone.
