Newcomer Creative Exchange: Field Trip & Tour of 401 Richmond

For our fifth Newcomer Creative Exchange session, we'll be taking a field trip to 401 Richmond and enjoy a tour & talk with Work in Culture.
About this Event

BAO’s Newcomer Creative Exchange series has been developed to create a space for Brampton-based newcomer creatives to gather, network, create, and learn together in a welcoming and supportive environment.

For our fifth Newcomer Creative Exchange session, we will be taking a field trip to 401 Richmond in Toronto.

401 Richmond Street West is a restored, heritage-designated, industrial building turned arts-and-culture hub in downtown Toronto. 401 Richmond is home to 17 art galleries and artist-run centres, 40+ visual artist studios, film festivals, filmmakers, architects, communications specialists, graphic artists, recording studios, charitable organizations, cultural producers, social innovators, micro-enterprises, shops and even a Spanish dance school.

We will get a tour from Work in Culture of the art galleries and and learn about all the resources and opportunities available to creatives.

Following the tour, we'll gather at Dark Horse for coffee, tea, and snacks. There, you'll have the chance to meet all the other participants and make new friends and potential collaborators.

This session is completely free to join.

Transportation: We can provide all-ages Brampton Transit Tickets free of charge to those who need them for all BAO in-person events. If you would like to pick up a ticket for yourself and others attending with you, please email [email protected] prior to the event and we will have them available for you onsite. Tickets work for both Brampton Transit and Züm buses.
