Are you newer to the trails? Looking to connect with other newbies? Come join us at our Newbie Meet-Ups in 2026! These monthly runs/hikes at the South Mountain Reservation in West Orange, NJ are designed to provide a welcoming, supportive space for anyone looking to explore the trails, build skills, and meet others in the community.We will have the 5K course marked so you can go at your own pace to get more comfortable on the trails. We host Team HippoGriffin Meet-Ups in conjunction with the Newbies Meet-Ups so that everyone (regardless of experience) can feel comfortable joining, learning, and enjoying the outdoors together.
