Newberry County 4-H Spring Farm Tour Camp

Cost: $30 per participant
Ages: 8–18 (Must be a current 4-H member)
Limited to 6 participants
Join us for a full day of hands-on agricultural exploration at the Newberry County 4-H Spring Farm Tour Camp! This exciting day camp gives youth the opportunity to experience local agriculture up close while learning directly from farmers in our community.
Campers will meet at the Newberry County Extension Office by 8:00 AM and depart with Mrs. Mallory in the 4-H minivan for a fun and educational farm tour across the county.
Farms we will visit include:
- Hi Brau Beef – Newberry, SC
- Black Grove Farm (Beef) – Newberry, SC
- Satterwhite’s Dairy (Dairy) – Newberry, SC
- Bowers Farm (Regenerative Livestock Farm) – Pomaria, SC
Youth will learn about beef and dairy production, regenerative livestock practices, animal care, and the important role agriculture plays in our local community.
We will enjoy lunch at Zaxby’s in Newberry, SC in between visiting the Newberry-area farms and traveling to Bowers Farm in Pomaria. Campers will return to the Newberry County Extension Office for pickup at 3:30 PM.
🚜 Important: Participants must be current 4-H members and must have permission in 4-H Online to be transported by Mrs. Mallory in the 4-H vehicle.

Refund statement: Full payment is due upon registration. No refunds will be issued within three weeks of the start of the event.
Membership requirement: Current 4-H membership in is required for participation in this event.
Custodial Care: Youth must be approved, enrolled members in 4HOnline with South Carolina 4-H Youth Development to attend this event. This is a custodial care event. Only adult chaperones and invited facilitators approved to be at the event will be allowed onsite during this event. Youth must be signed in and signed out by a parent/guardian or designated representative.
