Newark Dragon Boat Festival is back for 2026!Beaumond House Hospice and The Children’s Bereavement Centre are delighted to announce that for the sixth year.
The Newark Dragon Boat Race will be take place on Sunday 13th September 2026 on the River Trent.
Based on a Chinese tradition dating back over 2,000 years, dragon boat racing has today become one of the fastest-growing and most popular water-based activities with 10 people paddling the 30' boat with a drummer at the front.
As well as the main action taking place on the river there will be a variety of local food and drink suppliers, a bar and a range of activities available throughout the day for the whole family, including live entertainment.
The event is raising funds for Beaumond House Hospice Care & The Children’s Bereavement Centre.
Everyone welcome. A fun day is promised for all of the family whilst raising vital funds for two local charities.
