About this Event
Join the Newark Green Team and the Newark Tree Canopy Initiative for a community tree planting event as we continue our Arbor Day efforts to make Newark greener, healthier, and more resilient.
🌳 Why this matters:
Did you know that 1 in 4 children in Newark has asthma? Expanding our tree canopy helps improve air quality, reduce urban heat, and create healthier spaces—especially in areas where our children live, learn, and play.
This planting will take place in a high-impact area near Newark Schools Stadium, a space used daily by students, families, and the broader community.
