New York Task Force One Safety Officer & Task Force Leader Trainings

These are the instructor-led trainings (ILTs) available along with the dates:

May 11-13 - US&R Safety Officer

• The FEMA Urban Search and Rescue Safety Officer Instructor-Led Training course is designed to provide Urban Search and Rescue (US&R) Task Force personnel with the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the duties of a Task Force Safety Officer on a US&R task force. Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to successfully perform the position of Task Force Safety Officer, including understanding health and safety responsibilities during training and operational deployments.

May 14-16 - US&R Task Force Leader

• The FEMA Urban Search and Rescue Task Force Leader Instructor-Led Training course is designed to provide US&R Task Force personnel with the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the Task Force Leader function. Upon completion, participants will be prepared to successfully perform the leadership and management duties required of a Task Force Leader on a US&R team.
