Are you seeking funding from New York State for an upcoming project, plan, or initiative? Please join us at 1pm on Thursday June 4th for a NYS Funding Opportunity Workshop at Rochester Institute of Technology.
At this workshop, you’ll have the chance to meet with representatives from various State agencies that have funding available in the coming months via the Consolidated Funding Application (CFA) and some funding opportunities that operate outside of the CFA as well.
The workshop will run from 1pm to 3:30pm and will include:
-Welcome Presentation and funding opportunity overview by Finger Lakes Empire State Development (20 minutes)
-Participation in one of three simultaneous breakout sessions with agency representatives providing a brief overview and ample time for Q&A (1 hour). Meet with Staff from agencies such as:
- Empire State Development (ESD) and Office of Strategic Workforce Development (OSWD)
- Department of State (DOS), Office of Parks, Recreation & Historic Preservation, Homes & Community Renewal (HCR), and Canals
- Department of Conservation (DEC), NYS Energy Research & Development Authority (NYSERDA), and New York Power Authority (NYPA)
-Network Session – open tables for discussions with ESD regional office and agency staff (1 hour)
Even if your project is not ready to apply for funding, this is a great opportunity to learn more about how NYS can assist in funding various types of projects, plans, and initiatives.
The Finger Lakes Regional Economic Development Council (FLREDC) will be holding a public meeting at the same location that day from 10am to 12pm. You are encouraged to attend this meeting to learn more about this upcoming round of the CFA. Pre-Registration is required. Please register for the meeting.
