Yin Yoga is a passive form of yoga. It is a fusion of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Indian Yoga with a modern twist and is all mat based poses using props such as blankets, bolsters, blocks, yoga bricks and straps to support you whilst you hold the shapes for longer, aiming to put the deep connective tissue (Fascia) within the joints and surrounding tissues under a little stress whilst working with Meridian Channels to free up energy into various organs. Yang poses are added to balance the Chi energy which is a great benefit physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. ....It's all very confusing now, but all will be explained during the session. 🤦♂️
Restorative yoga is where all the props mentioned above will totally support the body for you to feel fully relaxed whilst still opening up the body.
Yoga Nidra is a deep yogic sleep, it is a set pattern to enable you to have that feeling that you get just before you fall to sleep, when your mind is totally empty and your body completely still....Bliss!! 🥱
Hopefully at the end of the class you will float home and have a restful sleep and feel energized the next morning.
