“I am so excited to be running this workshop !
I have studied the runes since the age of 13 and actually did my GCSE presentation on them many many years ago.
The runes are grossly misunderstood and misrepresented thanks to their consistent hijack and misuse by various poorly educated organizations with delusions of Nordic grandeur.
Many of you will recognize several* Nazi symbols * for instance among them which sadly continues to encourage extremism and misuse of them to this day. It has even seen tiwaz banned in Germany which is so sad.
Recently the popular television show VIkings saw the resurface of them and several other symbols on social media which sadly did them further damage.
As a result I have made it my mission to re educate those who wish to return back to the roots of this ancient magic studying each rune individually which is in fact a picture... using both an academic and eastoric approach in the hope that we can collectively keep these symbols alive and well and understood to the best of my knowledge... because despite studying them myself daily . I am STILL learning too.
We will be looking at the mythology connected to them.
The origin and discovery of the very first elder futhark sequence and the theories connected to them and exploring each rune separately as it stands and as it is used in divination.
