New Brighton is Haunted by Several Ghosts. Discover the haunted smugglers coastline and caves area, where ghostly whispers have been heard. Learn of the 19th Century Customs Man, a ghostly shape seen with his lamp on foggy nights to passersby. The old Police Station is still guarded by a spirit who does not like visitors on the premises. The Ghost Bell of the Shore, The Mersey Mermaid, The Legend of the Seymour Street Spook and The Lighthouse Ghoul patrols the area in search of Young Ladies who are foolish enough to visit the beach after dark.
