Walk while you work and join us for some netwalking!Join us for a New Year Winter Wellbeing Walk starting in Tynemouth, taking in North Shields Fish Quay and Northumberland Park. This is an opportunity to step outside of the office, get some fresh air, and network with others.
The Route
The route we will take is approximately 1.5 miles and will take us around 1 hour, allowing us to pause and enjoy our surroundings. It's a fairly flat route with gentle elevation in the park, although there are a couple of relatively steep banks to walk which take us down to and back up from the Fish Quay. The entire route will follow paths/pavement. It is a fully accessible route.
What to Wear
Comfortable warm clothing and comfortable footwear. This walk is all on footpaths.

11.30am - Meet at Tynemouth Metro Station Platform 2
11.40am - start walking
12.30am - optional stop for refreshments at Lui's cafe on King Edward's Road
1pm - morning concludes
Where to Meet - Tynemouth Metro Station Platform 2
Parking - There is both free and paid parking around the station, on both Platform 1 and 2 sides
Public Transport - Metro. Local buses stop in Tynemouth Village (2 minutes from the metro station)
Toilets - there are public toilets on the Fish Quay and in Northumberland Park
Refreshments including water refill station - there are a number of cafes on the route
If the weather significantly impacts our ability to access the route, we will still get together for Networking in a local cafe.
