New West Sustainable Home Info Sessions
Tour homes in New Westminster to learn about climate mitigation, adaptation, biodiversity,and how to make changes in your home, with something for all housing types.
The New Westminster Climate Action Hub will be hosting Sustainable Home Info Sessions on May 2, which will take a broad approach to sustainability and emission reductions, achieved through retrofits, green infrastructure and passive cooling.
Three single-family homes and a laneway home will be included, as well as information pertaining to condos and apartments. Secure bike storage will be provided. HUB Cycling is providing a guided tour of the three sites and (free) registration is required. (EventBrite link to follow)
The Sustainable Home Info Sessions event is financially supported by grants from the City of New Westminster and The Tamarack Institute. Supporting organizations are HUB Cycling, Canadian Association of Nurses for the Environment (CANE), Canadian Association of Physicians for the Environment (CAPE), Cariboo Heights Forest Preservation Society, ReGenerateBC, SFU Breathe Project, Sierra Club BC and BCIT Building Sciences.
The info sessions will be hosted at 3 locations (416 St. George Street, 920 2nd St & 552 Amess St)
