This beginner-friendly session covers two of the most important parts of getting started:
๐น Beekeeper Responsibilities & Regulations
Angie Thul, Apiary Inspector for District 09, will explain what new beekeepers need to know about compliance, responsibilities, and staying on the right side of regulations - without the overwhelm.
๐น Equipment for Beginner to Intermediate Beekeepers
Lee Wisnioski, past PBCBA President and current Treasurer, will walk through hive equipment recommendations, whatโs worth your money, what can wait, and how to avoid common beginner mistakes. Heโll also touch on next steps for growing apiaries.
Whether youโre still planning your first hive or already have bees and want to know what comes next, this session will give you practical guidance and real-world insight to help you move forward with confidence.
