Join us from 1:00–4:00 PM at Fort Christina - First State National Historical Park - in Wilmington, Delaware, as we commemorate the arrival of the Swedes and Finns on this date in 1638.Step into 1638 with living history demonstrations, booming cannon fire demonstrations, music, ceremony, “Finding Fort Christina” experience, cultural displays, and plenty of food and fun for all ages. As part of the event, the nearby Copeland Maritime Center will be open for your enjoyment.
Presented by the New Sweden Alliance in partnership with participating member organizations, this free, family-friendly event welcomes visitors of all ages to commemorate Delaware’s earliest European settlement.
