📌 Mark your calendar - our next New Skater program will begin on April 14, 2026.This is your opportunity to start your roller derby adventure by learning skating fundamentals, on-skate safety, and gameplay basics in a welcoming, growth-focused environment. The program will last for 10 weeks, with weekly practices on Tuesday night (7:00-9:00 PM) at Illini Skateland in Danville, IL. Cost for the full program is $120, which includes rink rental fees and loaner gear (available first come, first served).
Reminder: you do not need any prior roller skating experience to participate in this training program. Many of our skaters hadn’t skated since they were kids (if at all) when they joined, so we are confident you can learn to skate confidently (even if you feel like Bambi on ice at first).
