About this Event
Join the Institute for Social Policy and Understanding (ISPU) on Tuesday, April 8 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM for an event unveiling the findings of a new report on a systems-based approach to ensuring equitable healthcare access for Michigan’s Muslim communities, with a focus on Oakland, Wayne, Washtenaw, and Macomb counties. A discussion with a panel of experts, robust Q&A discussion and dinner will follow.
The insights from this study are expected to benefit not only Michigan’s Muslim population but also other minority groups and Michiganders as a whole. Through local community participation, this research identifies systemic factors that create barriers to healthcare access and offers potential policy solutions and recommendations for the community to effectively advocate for accessible, equitable, unbiased, and quality healthcare.
This gathering will bring together policymakers, healthcare experts, officials, and community leaders to discuss and benefit from the study’s findings. Please join us!
