On October 14, 2022, the biking community lost another child that was riding his bike home from a football game and was tragically killed by a car. Joey Smith was only 12 years old :-( Annabell Roach contacted me about 1.5 years ago to help coordinate placing a Ghost Bike for Joey and after speaking with his mom, Katie Smith, she is now ready to have the bike placed and to do a memorial for him. Joey was the only child of Katie. Let's be there to support her!Please arrive by 5:30 pm to the Pardee Elementary in Dearborn Heights, Michigan to see the bike installed and be ready to do a relaxed pace roll by 6:00 pm. I will post a route soon.
