New Renaissance Singers invites the community to their winter concert, Light the Way Home, on Saturday, December 13 at 7:00 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Society of Bangor (UUSB), 120 Park Street, Bangor.Directed by Molly J. Webster, this year’s program offers a comforting and uplifting celebration of the season — weaving together themes of light, hope, and belonging through both familiar carols and contemporary works. With piano accompaniment by Kaitlyn Libby, the evening includes selections from Benjamin Britten’s beloved Ceremony of Carols, along with traditional and international favorites such as Fum, Fum, Fum, A La Nanita Lullaby, and All Through the Night.
Modern pieces like The Road Home, and Crowded Table reflect the warmth and togetherness that define the holidays, while classics including Joy to the World, Sleigh Ride, and I’ll Be Home for Christmas invite audiences to sing along in spirit. The concert closes with Auld Lang Syne and Yonder Come Day — songs that look toward a new year filled with connection and renewal.
Admission is a suggested donation of $10, and all are welcome to join us for an evening of harmony, light, and community as we Light the Way Home.
