This is an open invitation to anyone interested in bone carving to gather for a day (or both days if you wish - 9 till 4 each day) at the Rangimārie Māori Arts and Craft Centre in New Plymouth. Be inspired and motivated in your art by carving alongside other bone carvers. It will be a mixed ability group, so there will always be something to watch, learn and be inspired by.This is a fantastic arts community which is incredibly friendly and welcoming. We urge you to be courageous and take advantage of this privileged opportunity to develop your bone carving skills and meet some of the wonderful people in the Taranaki region who share your love of bone carving.
Location: Rangimārie, Marfell Park, New Plymouth (park not named on the map) set your navigation to 37 Grenville St NP, Rangimārie is on the adjoining property.
Bring:
• A piece of bone or a carving to work on and your own carving gear, including
dust mask, power cord and vacuum cleaner
• Your lunch and refreshments (microwave, boiling water, fridge
available) & something to share for smoko
Cost: $10 per person per day – visitors no charge
