Sunday Sankalpa is evolving into a monthly ritual that aligns with the New Moon—a time for planting seeds, setting intentions, and beginning again. Each 2-hour session coincides with the start of a new astrological season, weaving the energy of that sign into the themes, movements, and meditations explored.
Blending somatic movement, intentional hatha yoga, card pulling, journaling, yoga nidra, and guided integration, this class becomes a full-body prayer for renewal. Rather than setting weekly intentions, you’ll now gather once a month at Evolve in West Ashley to attune with the lunar cycle and align your energy with the rhythm of the cosmos.
Sankalpa, meaning “heartfelt intention” or “sacred vow,” is a practice of remembering your deepest truth. Each month offers a new astrological lens for that remembering—helping you plant seeds of clarity, tend them through embodied practice, and anchor them in your breath, body, and choices as the moon waxes toward fullness.
About Mishiah:
Mishiah is a Charleston-based yoga teacher, healer, and creative who has spent 14 years studying yoga, energetic anatomy, and subtle body practices. Known for her embodied cuing and traditional sequencing, and , she teaches with an emphasis on accessibility, safety, and embodied depth. Her classes often incorporate chakra-based awareness and hands-on assists, helping students connect with the intelligence of their own bodies while cultivating resilience and presence.
What to Bring With You:
- yoga mat
- any props you may want (blocks, straps, etc.)
- a blanket or warm clothing (your body temperature will drop during Yoga Nidra)
- a journal and pen
