Welcome to The Soul Collective!

PRIMAL SCREAM | SOMATIC RELEASE
Sunday, January 18th, 2026
🔥 NEW MOON 🌑 This is an opportunity to let go and get out the stored trauma, pain & frustration that lives in the body. This will not be a place to express your story in words, this is a body-based practice using your vibration/voice to support your ability to release that which keeps you stuck in life - held in love and compassion. We will work our way up to a primal scream, with care and time.
240 Manor Road E
Time: 5:00-7:00pm

  • Somatic (body-based) release using your voice as your sound current (no experience needed)
  • Discharge stress, fear, tension and emotional pressure
  • Nervous system regulation through a systematic process of breathing, sound and movement ✨
  • Increase vibrational currents through the body for inner connection, health and self trust.
  • Release pain and trauma stored in the body

MOVE ENERGY IN THE BODY THROUGH PRIMAL RELEASE
Peter Levine has worked with stress and trauma for over 40 years. He observed that wild animals regularly experience life-threatening stress (being chased, attacked, injured) yet rarely develop trauma. His key insight was that wild animals complete the stress response that humans often interrupt. Animals instinctively shake or tremble, breathe deeply, make sounds or even stretch or yawn, whereas incomplete stress response in humans tends to get locked in the nervous system in survival mode.
We are trained from a young age to ‘calm down’ or ‘be strong’ or ‘stay quiet’ and most of us learned or adapted in ways to keep suppressing and pushing emotions down. What we don't move out of the body eventually becomes dis-ease. Vocalization is part of a natural stress release and sound helps to mobilize the vagus nerve, release tension in the body.
Many of you have been breathing and chanting with me for years and you know through our various practices that in a short amount of time it is possible to have lasting change. In our regular practices we go down into the contracted aspects of self and we also rise up into expansion. This practice will take us deep into the body moving down where we store pain that hinders our experience of life.
