About this Event
New Moon Circle • Cancer New Moon
15th June • St Augustine’s Church Community Centre • 6–8pm
In a world that constantly asks us to move faster, achieve more, and relate to one another as competition, gathering intentionally in community can feel quite radical.
The new moon is a time to slow down, turn inward, and reconnect with what truly nourishes us beneath the noise and pressure of everyday life. Under the Cancer new moon, connected to home, emotion, intuition and care, this circle offers space to pause, reflect, and return to ourselves in the presence of others.
Together, we’ll explore practices inspired by yogic philosophy, meditation, breathwork, journalling and shared reflection, creating a grounded and welcoming space for connection, intention setting and collective care.
I’m committed to approaching these practices in a way that feels thoughtful, ethical, and respectful. A big part of that, for me, is recognising where these teachings come from and finding meaningful ways to give back to the communities that shared them with me.
In honour of the moon’s long connection with cycles, menstruation, and the body, 25% of each ticket will be donated to the Humjoli Foundation. Each contribution helps provide a girl in India with six months’ worth of sanitary pads, two pairs of undergarments, soap, disposal bags, and an educational book about periods.

At the heart of this space is the belief that connection, solidarity and belonging are essential parts of being human. We all need spaces where we can feel seen, supported, and able to slow down together.
A circle has no hierarchy, everyone sits as equals. My role as facilitator is simply to help create a space that feels safe, welcoming and grounded, and to gently guide the flow of the evening.
A little about me:
Since I was young, I’ve always felt drawn to bringing people together and creating spaces where others could feel safe to be themselves. That began informally in my teenage years and later evolved into several years of work across the charity sector, supporting survivors of sexual violence and domestic abuse, working with children, and alongside people with experiences of displacement and forced migration.
Over the past couple of years, I’ve spent time travelling and studying in India, exploring yogic philosophy and spiritual practices including non-dual tantric teachings and Yin Yoga. I’ve also completed CPD-certified women’s circle facilitation training.
My intention with these circles is to create spaces where we can slow down, reconnect, and recharge together, so we can return to our lives feeling more grounded, connected, and empowered in ourselves.
A small number of solidarity tickets are also available. If you would like to attend but cost feels like a barrier, please feel free to reach out.
Please contact me with any questions, worries or concerns.
This space is open to everyone, come as you are :)
