Auditions are being held for new members to join us in January.Book your spot on Tuesday, December 9 from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m. at Pine Street Elementary School, Sherwood Park, to audition for our Junior or Senior Choir.
Lyrico Youth Choirs welcomes young singers from across the Greater Edmonton area:
Junior Choir for students in Grades 2 to 5
Senior Choir for students in Grades 6 to 12
Our choirs rehearse on Monday evenings at Brentwood Elementary in Sherwood Park:
Junior Choir: 5:00 to 6:10 p.m.
Senior Choir: 6:30 to 8:00 p.m.
Each full season includes three main concerts, plus community events, school tours, and clinics. Our mission is to promote excellence in music, and our choristers are led by highly qualified music directors and guest clinicians who are passionate about nurturing confident, musical young voices.
About the audition:
Our audition process is friendly and low pressure. We ask them to sing a familiar song like O Canada, and check to see if your child can match pitch, which is an essential skill for choir singing. You can help them practice at home by humming a note and asking them to copy it until it sounds the same.
