Sea, sun, sand, a laugh and a swimAbout this Event
Spring has sprung, summer has(finally!) showed up, the flowers are blooming, the sea is blueing (I know, wrong word but it rimes) and Jon is glooming...SO PRETTY! Time to get back to the sea for an absolutely beautiful hike along the coast of Dorset. A coast line that looks nothing like England!
We will begin our trip with a visit of the delightful historical town of Christchurch where you will be taking plenty of photos, it is really pretty, really, really,...
We will then head to the ferry that will take us across the river straight onto the semi island where we will climb the famous Hengistbury head and have a 360 degree view of so many famous landscapes;The New Forest, Mudeford Quays, the Jurassic Coast and the Isle of wight to just mention just a few...
After that, we will walk along Muderford sands, where a multitude of coulourfull beach huts will be perfect for photos, glorious dunes, red cliffs that seem to have been perfectly designed for this landscape and sometimes some basking seals if we get lucky...
This trip will be a delight for your senses and a full day out by the sea... I
want this day to feel like a holiday, so please, if you join, be ready to take your time, have a dip in the sea or stop for an ice cream, iced coffee and picnic whenever we feel like it. It will be a full day out by the sea. So bring your swim suit and if you don't swim, be ready to be a beach carpet for a little while or have a drink at a beach pub! But remember, this is a hike, we will hike 12 miles and will climb 1 hill, not a hard one, but still, you will need to walk.

As always, we will probably end the trip at a nice eatery or pub for a well deserved meal and a couple of drinks, if you wish, unless you want to make your way to the nearby station a bit earlier...booooooh!

08.30 am at London Waterloo Station near the Pret a manger in the main hall near the clock, look on the bench for a lazy guide...(Possibility to meet an hour later if the group decides to do so on the previous day...)

A WhatsApp group will be created a few days before the trips, noone is forced to join of course, but I will post additional information on it, we usually also exchange photos and videos.

Our trips will not be cancelled due to weather conditions so please ensure that you do wear and carry appropriate clothing. ?
