In the late 19th and early 20th century there was a group of women living in Louisville who were absolutely fabulous, yet little is known of them. They were pioneers and visionaries in the areas of painting, sculpture, fiction, poetry, music, and journalism. They were the leaders in practically every social advance in Louisville, including reforms in civil rights, suffragism, early childhood education, juvenile delinquency, and education for women.
