New Deal Art Tour at Wilbur J. Cohen Federal Building

Join us for a captivating one-hour mural tour at the Wilbur J. Cohen Federal Building! This in-person event will immerse you in the rich history and artistic works of the New Deal era. The building features massive mural cycles by three celebrated artists of the 20th century: Philip Guston, Ben Shahn, and Seymour Fogel. Each mural vividly illustrates life in 1930s America and highlights the government’s role in caring for its citizens through the new Social Security Administration. This is a rare opportunity to see the murals in their original context. Reserve your spot now!

Be sure to include a first and last name for each participant.

If your group is 10 people or more, then please contact [email protected] to arrange a dedicated tour of the building.

The U.S. General Services Administration is committed to providing universal access to all of our events. Please contact [email protected] to request disability accommodations. Advance notice is necessary to arrange for some accessibility needs.
