About this Event
Keynote Speaker Topic: Creating Socially Connected Organizations
Are you concerned about the mental health of your students, employees or community?
One out of every three people reports experiencing mental health conditions, and the loneliness epidemic is a contributing factor to the global mental health crisis. In fact, one out of every two U.S. citizens reports experiencing loneliness every day. In this presentation, research around the benefits of the social influences of mental health will be shared. The social influences include social connections, social support, social capital, social media, and social inclusion. Data around why we need to attend to these influences and the benefits that come from focusing on them will be presented. More importantly, tangible tools and techniques will be shared in this interactive session.
Participants will leave with activities that they may use in their communities to foster better connections, support, help build capital, teach people to manage their social media, and focus on social inclusion. When utilizing these social influences, individuals, organizations, and communities will experience improved mental health.
An updated agenda will be available soon!
