Earlier this year, Lil Yachty surprised everyone with his latest album 'Let's Start Here,' in which the Atlanta-based rapper brilliantly colors his mumble rap with solid layers of psychedelic rock. Lil Yachty is coming to Belgium to present this innovative and brilliant new album during his 'Field Trip Tour'.
Miles Parks McCollum, better known as Lil Yachty, broke through in 2015 with addicting offbeat tracks like 'One Night,' laying the foundation for what he dubs 'bubblegum rap,' a type of rap with deliberately offbeat vocals and messy rhymes. With a heavy dose of positivity and quirkiness, he challenges the stereotypes of the genre and releases the albums 'Teenage Emotions' (2017) and 'Lil Boat 2' (2018), both of which landed in the Top 10 Billboard albums. He also receives a Grammy nomination in 2016 for his feature on fellow rapper DRAM's "Broccoli." Throughout his discography, Lil Yachty constantly innovates his style without losing his typical sense of humor. With his latest release, Lil Yachty takes a new turn by tackling psychedelic alternative rock brilliantly. The album reached first place on Billboard's Top Rock & Alternative Albums chart and ninth place on Billboard's Top 200, with more than 60 million streams in less than two months. Lil Yachty is a unique artist on the hip-hop planet, pushing the boundaries the way artists like Anderson .Paak or Frank Ocean do.
