About this Event
Join AWE Educator Kirstie Montague for a series of sewing workshop designed especially for beginners. In this small group class, you’ll learn the basics of using a sewing machine and build your skills week by week while creating something of your own. This 3 week workshop is perfect for anyone who has always wanted to learn to sew!
No prior sewing experience required. Spaces are limited to keep the group small and supportive - register early to secure your spot!
Class 1: Thursday, April 23
Get comfortable with the sewing machine! Learning how to thread it, load a bobbin, and practice basic stitches and techniques.
Class 2: Thursday, April 30
In week two, you’ll explore appliqué, learning how to sew shapes and decorative elements onto fabric.
Class 3: Thursday, May 7
In the final session, you’ll put your new skills into practice by designing and sewing your own cushion cover featuring an appliqué design to take home.
