The Data Vault CDPV2® Boot Camp class provides an introduction to the Data Vault 2.1 System of Business Intelligence as well as intermediate topics. The course covers the business justification for the DV 2.1 solution and provides a technical overview of the solution’s methodology, architecture, and model – basically, the why, what, and how aspects of designing, building, and implementing a DV 2 Enterprise Data Analytics Solution.
The course includes both a practicum in hands-on design and a separate self-paced, hands on, online Modeling training video delivered by Dan Linstedt himself which provides an end-to-end full cycle build out complete with DDL, optimized SQL scripts, and test data. The course also discusses ELT/ETL best practices and provides SQL code examples/templates.
DataRebels' course provides certification exam preparation, optional vendor demos, and access to select vendors tools.

Day 4
As we launch our new CDVP2.1 course, DataRebels' is collaborating with Scott Ambler to introduce and deliver a new workshop format. We consider the Workshop to be the Capstone of the course where students are able to apply agile Ways of Working (WoW), Agile Ways of Thinking (WoT), and development skills that have been discussed throughout the course.
DataRebels is hosting Scott Ambler as our agile coach, joining Dan and Cindi as they instruct students through the CDVP2 Day 4 workshop. Scott has compiled a highly consolidated version of standard two-day workshop incorporated with our Data Vault iterative build exercise.

Preparing for the CDVP2 Course and Certification Exam - Course Prerequisites
• Students are expected to have basic knowledge of the Data Vault 2.0 model, which is available by reading the book, “Building a Scalable Data Warehouse with Data Vault 2.0”.
• Please note: this is a professional course, as a student, you are expected to have the following experience before enrolling or attending:
- 1 year of SQL experience
- 1 years’ experience of Star Schema or 3NF
- 1 year of data warehousing or BI experience
- Basic understanding of Dev/Test/Production environments
- Understanding data preparation concepts
- Knowledge of data modeling concepts
• 4-5 DAYS of preparatory, self-paced, on-line video training (included with the paid course). The on-line training provides fundational principles to the primary engineering concepts surrounding the methodology and architecture (People, Process, and Technology) that are fundamental to the Data Vault 2 System of Business Intelligence. The on-line training should be completed prior to attending the 3-day instructor-led Boot Camp.

Certifications
All students that attend all three days of the class will receive a Certification of Attendance from DataRebels for completing the course.
If the Data Vault 2.1 Boot Camp with Certification (CDPV2®) course is purchased ,the price of the course includes one private, on-line Certified Data Vault 2.1 Practitioner exam. The student will be granted access to the on-line exam after completion of the course and will be given two weeks to complete the exam once the course is complete.

Cancellation Policy
All student cancellations must be processed through the online enrollment system.
Students who cancel their enrollment 21 or more business days prior to the start of the scheduled training course and who have not been given access to the Self-Paced, On-line Prerequisite Introductory Videos will be offered enrollment in a future session of the course or a full refund of their tuition, minus any processing fees.
Students who cancel enrollment more than 14, but less than 21 days prior to the start of the class, and who have not been given access to the Self-Paced, On-line Prerequisite Introductory Videos will be offered enrollment in a future session of the course or a refund of 50% of their tuition, minus processing fees.
No refunds will be available to students who (a) cancel their enrollment within 14 days of the start of class, or (b) have already been given access to the Self-Paced, On-line Prerequisite Introductory Videos , or (c) have had the course materials shipped for which DataRebels has a Bill of Shipping, or (d) have had access to download the course material .pdf files, or (e) who do not attend the class.
For online or virtual classes, refunds will not be issued due to technical failures or the student's equipment failures. Students may negotiate with DataRebels to reschedule for a class at a later date should technical or equipment failures cause the student to not be able to access and participate in the course.
Classes may be canceled at DataRebel’s discretion due to inclement weather, insufficient student enrollment, or other unforeseen circumstances. DataRebels will make every effort to cancel classes 21 or more days prior to the scheduled start date.
In the event that DataRebels cancels a scheduled class, students will be offered a full refund of their tuition or enrollment in another scheduled session of the class as long as they have not accessed the Self-Paced, On-line Prerequisite Introductory Videos .
DataRebels is not liable for travel expenses incurred due to canceled or rescheduled classes.
