About this Event
This is the second of Abstractions , a series of workshops examining abstraction theory and methods of various artists.
Helen Frankenthaler: Abstractions
Examination and exercise in automatic gestures and landscape abstractions of Helen Frankenthaler.
You will:
- Learn about Helen Frankenthaler's art career and works.
- Examine and analyze Mountains and Sea, 1952.
- Learn and exercise Helen's methods of automatic gesture and abstractions.
- Create an original drawing.
- Create an original abstract landscape.
- Go to the opening of the Helen Frankenthaler exhibition at Gagosian. (April 30th – July 2nd, 2026)
