Never Stop London - Christmas Hike, 17km Tring

COVID-19 Guidelines - We will continue to follow the same rules for a safe training environment:

• Social distancing is still to be maintained
• Please BRING a face mask and hand sanitiser
• PLACES ARE LIMITED due to COVID restrictions
• DO NOT ATTEND OUR SESSION if you feel unwell, have had any symptoms related to COVID-19 within the last 14 days or have come into contact with someone with COVID-19
• If you do show any sign of Covid-19 symptoms within 7 days of attending our session, please contact the NSL Team asap
• You MUST have a ticket to attend

EVENT: CHRISTMAS HIKE, 17KM TRING

This will be the last hike event of the year, so dig out the festive hats, jumpers or socks and join us for a wintery hike along the rolling hills of Buckinghamshire. The 17km loop will take you to Ivinghoe Beacon on the Ashridge Estate, where you will be greeted with great views of the countryside. We will then head towards Pitstone and Aldbury Common into the woodlands and end at The Greyhound Inn for pub grub and mulled wine...or...beer.

Hike is FREE and all abilities welcome.

WHAT TO BRING:

• Headtorch! (Just in case, it will get dark by 4:30pm, depends how long you stay in thee pub - I will have a few spare)
• Approx 1L of liquid
• Snacks (There is a cafe 12.5km in, with loo as well)
• Appropriate footwear (Trail shoes or hiking shoes) - IT'S MUDDY!
• Waterproof jacket (Just in case, likely to rain around 3pm)
• Warm, comfortable outdoor clothing
• Rucksack

• WHERE: Inside London Euston Station, by the Ticket Office

• TRAIN DEPARTS: 9:33am
• DESTINATION: Tring Station
• TRAIN ARRIVES: 10:16am (43min journey)
• TICKETS: Open Return to Euston Off-Peak is £13.85 (Network Railcard) £21.00 (Without Network Railcard)

NOTE: You can also do a GroupSaver ticket with a few people on the day. However, you will need to tavel together. Network Railcard is useful to have. Alternatively, please email me: [email protected] if you wish to enquire about train tickes.

• ELEVATION: Approx 370m total elevation
• HIKE DURATION: 3.5hrs
• START LOCATION: Tring Station - ///apprehend.fists.distilled
• END LOCATION: The Greyhound Inn - ///civil.tadpole.rewrites (Allow 15min walk to Tring Station)
• TERRAIN: Undulating paths, open fields, woodlands and a few road crossings with single track
