About this Event
Neurodiversity Awareness Training
Join us at The Vassall Centre for an interactive session on understanding and embracing neurodiversity! Attendees will be exploring the concept of neurodiversity in a variety of ways with a mix of facilitated discussions, lived experienced knowledge and scenario based activities. The session will be led by an experienced neurodiversity trainer and a Lived Experience Facilitator who is a neurodivergent adult. It will be interactive and informative, and a safe place for everyone to learn and share. We will:
- Discuss neurodiversity as a normal part of human variation and something to be accepted and celebrated
- Look at what neurodivergence means, and some of the common factors shared between different neurodivergent conditions
- To explore what the language means and gain a foundational understanding of key neurodiversity topics including Autism and ADHD.
- Think about how we can best support, and be allies for neurodivergent people
- Using relatable scenarios with attendees to add a personal touch to create a level of understanding amongst colleagues.
Whether you're a parent, PA, employer, or just curious, this training is for you! Let's celebrate differences and promote acceptance together.
