About this Event
The Experimental Drawing Workshop is presented by Neuroverse Artist Collective, a new neurodivergent led creative platform centered on collaborative practice, sensory exploration and community connection through the arts.
Led by artist Christopher Kelly, the session invites participants to respond to a series of Kelly’s sculptures through intuitive mark making, observational drawing and sensory engagement. The workshop prioritises felt experience, curiosity and process over technical outcome, creating space for participants to explore how texture, repetition, shadow and material presence can influence emotional and sensory perception.
Designed as a calm and neurodivergent friendly environment, the workshop encourages participants to work at their own pace through gentle and experimental approaches to drawing. Attention moves fluidly between looking, listening and making, allowing for embodied and intuitive creative engagement within a thoughtful and supportive setting. No previous drawing experience is necessary, and all materials will be provided.
As the first public workshop for Neuroverse Artist Collective, the session will also introduce the collective’s wider aims and ethos. Neuroverse Artist Collective supports neurodivergent artists, makers and practitioners through inclusive cultural programming, mentorship and a professional online gallery space, exploring neurodiversity as a space of nuance, difference and creative possibility.
