You got to puberty, and everything changed.Suddenly, you were too emotional, too sensitive, too much… or completely numb.
You spent years swinging between coping and chaos. Functional one week, feral the next. You learned to mask, to push through. Told it was anxiety. Depression. Maybe even a personality disorder.
Now your hormones are shifting again. The mask is slipping, and the strategies that used to hold everything together… just don’t anymore. The cycle becomes impossible to ignore.
This women-only AuDacity session explores the complex relationship between female hormones and neurodivergence, and why so many autistic and ADHD women are misunderstood or misdiagnosed.
In this session, we'll explore:
- How hormonal fluctuations affect the neurodivergent brain
- The prevalence of PMDD and PME amongst neurodivergent women
- Why ND women are often labelled with other things before neurodivergence
- Your hormonal landscape over your lifespan and the impact of shifts
- Practical, neuro-affirming strategies for navigating hormonal shifts
Science-led. Lived-experience informed. Zero pathologising.
This session will be more educational in format than the usual AuDacity group coaching sessions, although there will be reflection prompts for you to explore in your own time afterwards.
The event is designed for those who experience female hormonal cycles. If there is interest in a future session for partners, family members, or others who want to understand the topic better, I’d be happy to consider that.
Attendance is free, however a ticket must be booked via Eventbrite. https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/neurodivergence-in-women-tickets-1984320301438?aff=oddtdtcreator
