About this Event
It can feel lonely, "clique-ish", or just down right intimidating to put yourself out there in the real-world versus social media. This group is designed to go deeper than exchanging elevator pitches and business cards.
This networking group will be structured, follow an agenda and have a down-to-earth feel while simultaneously talking about business.
For the first 2-3 sessions, this group will be free for everybody. This trial period will help the creators of this group get real feedback from the people who attend. The feedback is a crucial part to fine-tune the networking group so it is designed to meet needs of members. This event is limited to 25 attendees and we hope to fill every seat!
(We also hope to come up with a cooler name than "networking group")

- Even though this is not mandatory, we do ask that participants attend at least 2 of the free trial groups. This is because these trial groups are not only used as practice sessions to find our flow but we will also be testing out activities to see which ones "stick" and which ones don't- which will require your feedback. There will most likely be 3 free groups.
- Everyone will be considered a member in this group during the free trial sessions - and will get the benefits that a paid member will get after trial period ends.
- This is free but there is a donate option for those that feel inclined to donate to the time put into this. There will also be snacks and printed materials for the session. This donation option is absolutely optional, no pressure what-so-ever to donate.
- ARTISTS, MUSICIANS: we want you here! Art is FREE to display and will remain free in this group. Musicians are absolutely welcome to come in and play - of course with discussion prior to session. If this interests you as an artist or musician, please read bullet point #6
- Featured business of the night info. There will be 1 featured business each session. This will be a member-only benefit (again- everyone is a member during trial period.) This includes a booth, marketing from networking group, a presentation and a demo if you would like. Want to be a featured business? Please email [email protected] and include name, business name, what you do and what you would like to present. The featured business will have a booth, marketing opportunities on Meraki's platforms and a presentation which can consist of a demo and/or a speech (about 15 min total).
- Featured business, artists and musicians: These arrangements are agreed on PRIOR to the sessions. We will have only 1 featured business, 1 musician but the number of artists are to be decided due to space and size of art. Please arrive at least 30 min before session starting time to set up (5pm). We ask everyone participates in the group starting at 5:30pm to stay on schedule.
- Have an event coming up that you would like to share? We are building an event calendar and would love to put your event on the calendar. Your event info can be given at the sessions. No limit to the number of events. (This will also be a member-only option.)
- Who is invited? Professionals seeking community, business owners, aspiring business owners, artists, creatives. This is not limited to business owners. We would love this group to provide community and inspiration that anyone with a "growth mindset" can benefit from.
