Join us for an election recap and to hear from the new Executive Director of the Tarrant County Democratic Party, Reyne Telles, and Democratic Candidate for Tarrant County Judge, Lydia Bean! Reyne brings more than two decades of public-sector leadership experience, including serving as on the City Manager's Executive Team as Chief Communications Officer for the City of Fort Worth, Director of Communications for the Austin Mayor’s Office, Executive Director of Communications and Engagement for the 35th largest school district in the country and working as a television political reporter with a CBS affiliate. He holds a master’s degree in public affairs from the LBJ School at the University of Texas at Austin.
Reyne is married and, for the past three years, has lived near Fort Worth’s Hospital District along with a clever Basenji (ba-sin-geee) dog and three egg-laying hens—Dorothy, Blanche, and Rose. He’s eager to put his experience, curiosity, and community spirit to work, to strengthen Democratic voices here in Tarrant County.
Lydia is a small business owner and community leader who has stepped up to challenge extremist Tim O’Hare. She has already made an impact on county policy, as the co-founder of a diverse coalition that advocates in Commissioner’s Court for voting rights and public safety. Last year, Lydia led the charge to get Tarrant County to cancel a wasteful contract with a private prison.
As always, come early to eat at 6 - meeting starts at 7!
