About this Event
Join us for a heart-centered and practical workshop designed to help you better understand and care for your nervous system.
In this session, we’ll explore the nervous system’s role in shaping how we respond to stress and overwhelm. You’ll gain clarity on the difference between sympathetic (fight/flight/freeze/fawn) states and parasympathetic (rest and digest) states, as well as the beauty of finding grounded presence.
Through reflective prompts, you’ll identify which nervous system responses you tend to default to—and what those patterns reveal about your needs and experiences.
We’ll also dive into how trauma impacts the nervous system, influencing how we process and react to stress. You’ll learn how to gently tend to yourself and begin cultivating safety within your body.
This workshop includes:
-Educational insights into the nervous system and its responses.
-Somatic practices to reconnect with your body and release tension.
-Meditations to help you tune into the truth of what you need in the moment.
-Reflective prompts to deepen your self-awareness and foster compassion for your journey.
What to bring:
-A journal or notebook
-A cozy blanket or something to help you feel comfortable during meditations
-Water
