Details are finally here for the day camp at the fabulous Yorkshire EC near Leeds!Aimed at the more nervous or novice partnership we will be doing some of my usual obstacles in the morning and a short guided hack in the afternoon in small groups.
A great introduction to hacking out for a young horse, or a way to build your confidence to ride out. The full day including hack will be within the Yorkshire EC site, so it is all fenced and gated securely for safety.
The day can be done entirely in hand, ridden or a mix of both, and as far as possible you will be grouped accordingly.
In between ridden activities we will have plenty of time to chat, groom, clean tack and generally enjoy a day in the company of likeminded people. There should be time for a short demo at lunchtime, which we’ll decide on as a group - but think an introduction to liberty groundwork, starting map reading/route planning, a demo of practical hoofcare… something interesting to discuss over lunch 🍽️
£95 per person/horse to include use of day stable (rubber matted, no bedding, bring your own hay and water bucket!). Please bring a packed lunch but tea/coffee/squash will be provided. The day will run 9 till 5.30ish with hopefully plenty of sunshine for us - if not we shall make good use of the indoor arena and the warm room!!
